George Marvin

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons), MMACP

George is a highly skilled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 12 years of experience across private practice, the NHS, and elite sport, including his work with Wasps Rugby Club in developing the player pathway. His breadth of experience has equipped him with advanced diagnostic, assessment, and treatment skills, allowing him to achieve consistently strong outcomes for patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

He graduated from Brunel University, where alongside his physiotherapy degree he gained additional qualifications in sports massage, taping, and strapping. George has since developed extensive expertise as a First Contact Physiotherapist, working directly with GPs, orthopaedic surgeons, and pain management consultants. This multidisciplinary exposure underpins his success in managing sports injuries, joint and spinal pain, tendon disorders, and post-operative rehabilitation.

In 2019, George completed master’s-level postgraduate training in Pain Science at Brighton University, further enhancing his clinical insight into the management of persistent and complex pain. He has also trained in Matwork Level 1 Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), allowing him to integrate targeted exercise rehabilitation into his treatment plans. His approach is holistic, combining manual therapy with progressive rehabilitation to support long-term recovery and functional performance.

George is recognised for his patient-centred care and his ability to tailor treatment for both recreational and high-performance athletes, as well as for individuals managing chronic musculoskeletal issues. He is among the most experienced physiotherapists in Godalming and the Surrey area, trusted by patients seeking expert, one-to-one care.
Outside the clinic, George is a dedicated father of two and an active member of the local community. He coaches rugby at Guildford Rugby Club and football with Milford Pumas YFC. Passionate about sport and the outdoors, he enjoys skiing, family cycling adventures, and the occasional round of golf.
